Meet The Directors of AllSports Coaching Academy

Clive Barnard
Chairman

Clive is Managing Director of Osterly Associates who provide accessible business support resource to multi size, multi sector businesses, where there is a gap in provision.

With over 30 years senior management experience with a number of SME’s including CEO roles with an independent hospital group, an international trade organisation and more recently a sports business consultancy, Clive has a passion for business, which extends to several charitable roles, where he is an award winning business mentor.

Clive is well known amongst British businesses through his involvement in various Government led business support programmes where his innovative style has stimulated many sector specific initiatives.

He has worked for several years supporting projects that help minority communities, both in the UK and overseas and has led public supported refugee groups to use their talents to become self employed.

Clive is also a founder member of SIEMA Biz Forum, which is a business network for Polish businesses and International Trade Support Group (ITSG) which is an international network of overseas trade advisers.

Jim Prescott
Founder & CEO

Jim is responsible for the strategic direction and day to day running of the business. This includes supply chain and relationship management. In addition he looks after the mentoring programme for trainees and members, as well as overseeing work experience and work placement programmes.

Jim has over 40 years’ experience of Procurement & Supply Chain Management, alongside 40 years voluntary work in Junior Football and Community Work. This included setting up with a number of friends a new Junior Football Club in the North East which some 30 years later has grown to become one of the strongest clubs in the area, with one of the first group of children recently retiring from a long career in the Premier League and International Football whilst a more recent player has recently embarked on both a Premier League and International career.

During more than 40 years involvement in junior football Jim has seen a number of children go on to professional careers not only in the Premier League but also in the Football League.

He is a Fellow of The School of Social Entrepreneurs and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) and held several Senior Positions in the corporate world as well as serving on several industry bodies and research projects.

Jim is also a Director of Ball Sports Ltd which he has been involved with since leaving the corporate sector. This award-winning Community Sports Coaching & Consultancy business has delivered coaching to schools and Communities including a Local Development Centre for Manchester City Football Club.

A Volunteer with the National Trust at one of their top properties Attingham Park, he also holds the position of Chair of PPG at his local Doctors Surgery, as well other Non-Executive Roles.

Stuart Cook - Executive Director of Allsports Coaches Coaching Academy

Stuart Cook
Executive Director

Stuart is responsible for the operational delivery of our training and support programme. He is also involved in shaping the strategic direction of our training programmes.

A military veteran Stuart has a wide range of experience working with adults and young people struggling with mental health and negative behaviour patterns..
He started his journey in the army, spending 5 years in the Welsh guards, After a tour of Afghanistan in the summer of 2009, he was diagnosed with PTSD. After being diagnosed with PTSD he wanted to know more about his condition and how he could help others to overcome their limitations around mental health. This led him to work on projects like UTurn (helping young people deter away from county lines) and help them into more positive support, and work in the NHS in forensic work at Redwoods and the IAPT programme.

As a result of this work he gained qualifications including an Advanced CBT, NLP practitioner, and an A level in child psychology. plus many more. After working in the NHS he joined the Brightstar Boxing Academy as a senior manager delivering DSL as a pastoral lead which included setting up and running the Counter Punch programme. He was responsible for creating and running mental health and behaviour programs for vulnerable adults and young people both in school and community environments.

Gareth Prescott
Non-Executive Director

Gareth is responsible for research and development identifying opportunities for promotional events and partnerships as well as Marketing campaigns. This includes researching grants and fund raising events.

Gareth works in a busy sales office for a well established industrial bearings supplier.

He is a keen sportsman who has played football as well as being a qualified football referee and played cricket for over 5 years.

And over the last couple of years has taken up running, which has helped with both mental and physical conditioning, during the pandemic, completing the 2022 Great North Run.

Parminder K. Dhani
Non-Executive Director

Parminder has worked in the public, community and private sectors for over 40 years.  Her career has included working in local government, sport & leisure health, education, further education as well as running her own business.  Roles included both practitioner and management with these sectors: community development, training (and teaching), managing staff & volunteers, projects, events and budgets to name a few.

She brings grounded knowledge and understanding of the working of the above sectors, as well as over 35 years in equality, diversity & inclusion. 

She is an experienced Non-Executive Director having held positions on health boards.

She has a passion for tackling inequalities, social justice and supporting individuals and communities in challenging inequalities.

Cornell Fox
Non-Executive Director

Cornell is a Fellow of The School for Social Entrepreneurs and has a wealth of experience in working with programmes to support children and young people.

He is driven to inspire positive lifestyle choices within the mindset of children and young adults who are affected by social issues.

His experience of working in the social enterprise section makes him an ideal fit with the work we are doing to support children and young people.

Carl Richardson
Non-Executive Director

Carl is responsible for advising on our social media management strategy.

Carl is an experienced blogger with a demonstrated history of working in the writing and editing industry.

He is an undergraduate in Journalism from Northumbria University .

Skilled in Storytelling, News Writing, Blogging and Social Media he is a Social Media Consultant.
