Yes, it is another news letter from the ACCA team and do we have some updates for you.

Continuing on from the last news letter and our great partnership with Mickey Bushell MBE of Gameplan Financial, they have agreed to help us raise as much money as possible towards the AVIVA Community Fund https://www.avivacommunityfund.co.uk/p/veterans-employment to support our veterans, blue light workers and their families.

Gameplan Financial are going to donate for every person who has financial support by Mickey Bushell MBE and their team. We have also partnered up with a great organisation called Front Foot https://www.frontfoot.life/ they are an online platform that offer training and support to veterans across the UK. They have two parts to there organisation as follows:

An exclusive career portal connecting the Armed Forces community with Forces Friendly employers, offering direct contact and zero placement fees. Companies advertise their jobs through charitable sponsorship donations, resulting in cost-effective advertising.

A charitable initiative providing comprehensive support services, including 12 months of post-hire support, transition assistance, mental health, financial advice, training, and more.

Finally, congratulations to our operations Director Stuart Cook, who has been short listed for an award Role Model of the year, for the Veterans Award https://veteransawards.co.uk/ that was held in Bristol on the 21/09/2023. Alongside this ACCA has been shortlisted for Health & Well-being award at the same event. Unfortunately, we did not win but just to be considered was an honor, and we were able to meet some amazing organisation.

August 2023 News Letter

Wow we have got exciting news for you.

We are absolutely delighted that Mickey Bushell has joined us as an ambassador.

Mickey is a gold winning Paralympian from the London 2012 games and recently climbed the Wrekin on his hands. He runs his own disability training called Mickey Bushell Gold Standard Academy, helping others with mobility struggles. https://www.facebook.com/mickeybushellgoldstandardacademy

Alongside his great work in the community he has another role as a financial advisor for Game Plan Financial https://gameplanfinancial.co.uk/ Due to Mickey and his business partner Gary Thorpe, they have agreed to help us on our fundraising journey watch out for more details.

Help ACCA help others

We are fortunate to be working with AVIVA Community Fund. AVIVA are helping us raise money for veterans, Blue light workers and others to gain Qualifications and mentoring to become Sports Coach Practitioners, once they have qualified we are able to help them find volunteer or paid work either in schools or communities. With their training around sports, Teaching Assistant, SEN, Mental Health and lived experiences our trained Sports Coach Practitioners can help the 1 in 4 children and young people struggling with there mental Well-being since the pandemic.

Lets help the 1 in 4 young people who are struggling with their mental health and well-being since the pandemic.
